Support My Dream: A Wooden Kiosk by the Gaza Sea

My name is Walaa. I have a child like an angel named Youssef. He is a brave, strong, and intelligent child who gives me hope and love for life. But my heart aches for him because I am unable to provide him with even the minimum of his rights, the minimum of what he desires due to the circumstances we live in in Gaza, all because of the unjust occupation.

Youssef is 3 years old. He urgently needs: Surgery for his cleft palate Speech therapy sessions Healthy food—which is hard to find and afford under siege and poverty.

Youssef has lived since he was two years old in the war, and my suffering was great. As a mother of a child without a father under difficult circumstances, it was a great achievement on my part, and all of this is due to the love of a Palestinian mother for her heroic children and her love for life. I tried a lot to sell some sweets to bring in some money, but now I cannot work because of the food cut off to Gaza.

I am raising my little boy Youssef alone— and through the fear, destruction, and hunger, I still dare to dream. I dream of building a small wooden kiosk by the sea. Not to live in—but to open a window of hope. A place where I can sell sandwiches and sweets, to earn a living with dignity and provide for Youssef.

I am 30 years old. When the war ends and I am still alive, I will start a new, more beautiful and better life with my child. I will build a small wooden house on the sea of beautiful Gaza. I will sell some sweets and sandwiches to be a source of income for me and my child. I will bring all kinds of food and healthy milk for my child, the best education and clothes for my child. I will compensate my child for everything he did not experience. I will rebuild my beautiful city, Gaza.

All I need is a small start—some wood, basic cooking tools, and a bit of help. Every donation, every share, every kind prayer brings us closer to survival and dignity.

From under the rubble, I build life. From pain, I create a future.

أنا ولاء، أم فلسطينية من غزة… منفصلة وأُربي طفلي الوحيد يوسف بمفردي، بكل ما أملك من قوة وأمل.

رغم الدمار، رغم الخوف، رغم الجوع… ما زلت أحلم.

أحلم ببناء بيت خشبي صغير على شاطئ البحر، ليس بيتًا للسكن، بل نافذة أمل أبيع فيها السندويشات والحلويات، لأوفر لابني يوسف حياة كريمة، وأعتمد على نفسي بكرامة.

ابني يوسف عمره ٣ سنوات، يحتاج الآن إلى: عملية جراحية في سقف الحلق جلسات نطق وتأهيل غذاء صحي ومتوازن، في ظل سوء التغذية المستمر بسبب الحصار والفقر.

كل دعم، كل مشاركة، كل دعوة صادقة… هي خطوة نحو حياة أفضل لي ولوحيدي الصغير.
